Nephrologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrologist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a Nephrologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with kidney diseases, including those requiring hemodialysis or kidney transplantation.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat patients with kidney diseases, including those requiring hemodialysis or kidney transplantation
- Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
- Prescribe medication and treatment plans for patients
- Refer patients for surgery or other medical procedures
- Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
- Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
- Act as consultants to other physicians
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Completion of a nephrology fellowship program
- Board certification in nephrology
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the province of Ontario
