About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable individual to join our team as an Ironworker Assistant at Nijjar Rebar & Stucco Ltd. As an essential member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting ironworkers in various tasks related to rebar and stucco installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as rebar and stucco, from trucks and equipment.
  • Erecting and Dismantling Forms and Scaffolding: Help ironworkers erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Supporting Medical Examinations: Assist the medical examiner in charge with tasks related to medical examinations and assessments.
  • Earth Leveling and Grading: Assist in leveling earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring a stable and even surface for construction.
  • Cleaning and Piling Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials, removing any debris or rubble from construction sites.
  • Operating Equipment: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, such as cranes or forklifts.
  • Directing Traffic: Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring a safe and efficient flow of vehicles and personnel.

  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Physically Demanding: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and handling heavy loads.
  • Manual Dexterity: Use manual dexterity to perform tasks that require precision and accuracy.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks, such as loading and unloading materials, for extended periods.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: Handle heavy loads, up to 45 kg (100 lbs), with ease and precision.
