About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker Assistant to join our team at Nijjar Rebar & Stucco Ltd. As an Ironworker Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our ironworking team in various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Assist the medical examiner in charge with tasks as needed.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure accurate construction.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction to optimize efficiency.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure smooth operations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be physically demanding, handling heavy loads and working in various weather conditions. Manual dexterity and the ability to perform repetitive tasks are essential for this position.

Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
