Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Burger Factory Guelph. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source and procure high-quality food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that our inventory is always well-stocked and that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, including food preparers, kitchen helpers, and food service counter attendants, to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide comprehensive training to our staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to provide exceptional service and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal Preparation: Estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff, ensuring that we have a skilled and dedicated team to provide exceptional service to our customers.
- Ensure that Food and Service Meet Quality Control Standards: Monitor and ensure that our food and service meet the highest quality control standards, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food is always of the highest quality.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our means and that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns, ensuring that we resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have the necessary data to inform our business decisions.
- Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports to management, ensuring that we are meeting our business objectives and that we have the necessary data to inform our business decisions.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service establishment.
- Work Site Environment: Fast-paced environment, hot, and odours.
- Work Setting: Food service establishment, fast food outlet or concession, and restaurant.
- Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, requisition food and kitchen supplies, supervise and coordinate activities of staff, train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, hire food service staff, ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, prepare budget and cost estimates, address customers' complaints or concerns, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, prepare and submit reports.
- Supervision: 1 to 2 people, food service counter attendants, food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, walking, physically demanding, attention to detail.
