Job Title: Insurance Legal Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Legal Assistant to join our team at Billyard Insurance Group-Halifax West Branch.

Job Summary:

The Insurance Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to our legal team, ensuring the smooth operation of our office and the timely completion of tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the flow of information and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating travel arrangements
  • Provide administrative support to the legal team, including maintaining filing systems and preparing legal documents
  • Review and proofread documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal procedures
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader
