Job Title: Insurance Legal Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Legal Assistant to join our team at Billyard Insurance Group-Halifax West Branch.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our legal team, ensuring the smooth operation of our business. This includes coordinating the flow of information, scheduling appointments, and maintaining filing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the flow of information and documents between team members and stakeholders
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and court sessions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems
  • Prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents
  • Review and proofread documents to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
  • Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced office environment and may be required to travel occasionally.
