Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at Magna. As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting the overall HR strategy of the organization, including employee relations, recruitment, training, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution and employee communications
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health and dental benefits
  • Maintain HR and payroll information systems, including Workday and Dayforce
  • Recruit and select candidates for internal and external positions
  • Manage claims for non-work-related short-term and long-term disability
  • Develop and implement HR-related policies and procedures
  • Counsel employees on work-related and personal concerns

Requirements

  • Human Resources Management Certificate, Business Administration Diploma, or Master of Industrial Relations (MIR) or post-secondary education in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of HR Generalist experience, with experience in benefits administration, conflict resolution, policy development, employment laws, employee relations, payroll, and HRIS
  • Thorough understanding of HR-related legislation
  • Experience with Workday and Ceridian Dayforce an asset
