Job Summary

This role leads the Simplot Grower Solutions agPROVE program, identifying emerging markets and developing product and service offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy and sales, with a passion for driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Product Development Lead: Drive demand for new products, focusing on proprietary brands and emerging market products.
  • Partner with Sales Representatives: Grow the Proprietary Brands business through a defined plan and consistent communication with assigned accounts.
  • Industry Liaison: Communicate with designated representatives for manufacturers and distributors, maintaining a strong working knowledge of key industry people and competitors.
  • Simplot Grower Solutions Member: Be an active supporter and contributor to the communities served, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years combined experience in an Agriculture-related field, with a focus on agronomy and sales.
  • Registered or eligible to register with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Work Environment

Flexible work location, with daily travel, extended hours, and overnight travel within the trade area required. Indoor and outdoor conditions.

Physical Demands

Must be physically fit, able to lift a minimum 50 lb boxes, climb on and off farm machinery, and walk and work in field plots.
