Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Pub Support Associate at Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our Front of House team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the restaurant team by running food and drinks to tables, bussing and resetting tables, and helping to greet and seat guests as required.
  • In the role of host, be the face of the restaurant - greeting and seating guests and using TouchBistro reservation software to keep the restaurant floor plans up to date.
  • Run food to tables according to seat position and announce dishes to guests.
  • Bus tables as necessary and provide support to the serving team.
  • Answer the telephone professionally to respond to guest enquiries, take food orders either for collection or delivery in-house, and make table reservations.
  • Be responsible for the In-Room-Dining service when scheduled, ensuring food and drink are delivered to guest rooms, guests are billed, and quality checked in due time.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experience by following the standards of service.
  • Anticipate guest needs.
  • Use the POS system to send guest orders to the kitchen and bar and bill guests.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, tidy, and well-presented restaurant on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Prompt and accurate cashing out at the end of service.
  • Ensure operational Health and Safety regulations are permanently adhered to.
  • Act as an ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort & Sun Peaks Grand Hotel.
  • Will be willing to assist other F&B operations within the hotel and perform any other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Restaurant experience preferred.
  • Passionate about mountain life and all activities that come with it.
  • Knowledge of table reservation software (OpenTable/TouchBistro).
  • Serving it Right Certification.
  • Micros Simphony POS System experience.
  • Excellent food and wine knowledge.
  • Ability to work as a team and demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration and guest experience.
  • Must be available to work various shifts, including availability on weekends.
