Position SummaryThe Specialty Crop Nutrition Product Manager is tasked with steering the strategic development of value-added crop nutrition products. This role collaborates closely with the AgProve field trial program, Agronomy, and Ag Innovation teams to enhance the agronomic positioning of SGS Canada's Specialty Crop Nutrition Product Portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with all SGS locations to forecast and boost sales of Specialty Crop Nutrition products (both bulk and packaged).
- Serve as the primary contact for locations regarding packaged product orders and manage supplier purchase orders.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Lead to ensure proper positioning of specialty products across the SGS Canada Business Unit.
- Travel to various SGS locations to provide updates on focus products, participate in local grower events, and collaborate with marketing for timely product campaigns.
- Drive sales for Specialty Crop Nutrition products through both internal (AgProve) and external resources, ensuring accurate forecasting with locations.
- Work alongside the CN Manager and Agronomy team to assess new and existing products, determining strategic sourcing options for SGS Canada.
- Act as the main point of contact for pricing inquiries, product orders, and internal inventory checks before placing new orders.
- Deliver forecasts, sales data, market intelligence, and updates to all SGS leaders and staff.
- In-depth agronomic knowledge of Specialty Crop Nutrition products and their positioning for customer success in Western Canadian agriculture.
- Strong understanding of the Western Canadian specialty product market and supply chain dynamics.
- Proven sales capabilities (in grower or retail sectors) with a history of meeting business growth objectives.
- Negotiation skills to leverage SGS Canada's scale for profitable supplier relationships.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Agronomy/AgProve, AgInnovation, Sales & Operations) to gather data, communicate updates, and assist in product training.
- Excellent presentation skills, capable of addressing both internal teams and external clients.
- Lead the forecasting process for packaged crop nutrition products and execute a strategic sourcing plan.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers.
- Utilize SGS Canada reporting tools to monitor and evaluate monthly business milestones and year-over-year performance.
- Actively support and contribute to the communities served.
- Maintain a positive workplace attitude.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding all customers, staff, suppliers, and business operations.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Embrace and embody the values defined by Simplot Grower Solutions.

- Bachelor's degree in Business or Agriculture is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Crop Nutrition industry or Agricultural Retail.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% overnight, with additional daytime travel as required.
