We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil or Geotechnical Engineer Co-op to join our team at Klohn Crippen Berger. As a member of our Mining Environmental Group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that involve site characterization, slope stability, numerical modeling, foundation design, and more.
Key Responsibilities:- Work on site characterization, slope stability, numerical modeling, foundation design, and tailings dam design
- Visit project sites to gather information and participate in site investigation and drilling programs
- Collaborate with diverse teams of engineers and designers on conceptual design through to construction
- Receive guidance and mentorship from industry leaders in a supportive company culture
- Travel to project sites within Canada and internationally
- Working towards a degree in civil, geotechnical, or geological engineering
- Some field experience related to drilling and/or construction monitoring
- Eligibility to register as a professional engineer-in-training in British Columbia
- Experience with slope stability and seepage analysis, dam design, earthworks, and construction is an asset
- Ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary project-based teams
