Job Title: Manager, Social Media and Content

United Way East Ontario - Centraide de l'Est de l'Ontario is seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Manager, Social Media and Content to lead the charge on social media strategy and content creation across platforms.

Job Summary:

The Manager, Social Media and Content will be responsible for creating, growing, managing, and producing online communities that showcase the United Way East Ontario brand. This role will shape and execute the strategy for social media channels, with a focus on maximizing reach, follower growth, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to achieve corporate objectives
  • Create and produce high-quality video, audio, and written content that resonates with diverse audiences
  • Manage and grow online communities across multiple platforms
  • Monitor and respond to channel engagement
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to support marketing and communications strategies
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Demonstrated track record of innovative and measurable social media management achievements
  • Demonstrated track record of innovative and effective content production
  • 4+ years planning and implementing multi-platform communications programs
  • 4+ years of experience creating video, audio, and other digital and web content that measurably resonates and influences a broad range of audiences and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a newsroom or PR agency
  • Knowledge of video and photo production for a variety of media
  • Understanding and working within the principles of trauma-informed storytelling
