About the Role:
United Way East Ontario - Centraide de l'Est de l'Ontario is seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Manager, Social Media and Content to lead the development and implementation of our social media strategy and content creation across various platforms. This role will be responsible for creating, growing, managing, and producing online communities that showcase our brand and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to maximize reach, follower growth, and engagement.
- Produce high-quality video, audio, and written content that resonates with diverse audiences and drives meaningful interactions.
- Manage and oversee content calendars, monitor and respond to channel engagement, and serve as a direct line to the United Way brand.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to support marketing and communications strategies that reinforce brand health and drive conversion.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging issues, and proactively implement new techniques and strategies into the content strategy.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Demonstrated track record of innovative and measurable social media management achievements.
- 4+ years of experience creating video, audio, and other digital and web content that measurably resonates and influences a broad range of audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong background in video content creation and social media management, with some communications and public relations experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment, with excellent project and time management skills.
