Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pharmacist or Registered Pharmacy Technician in processing prescriptions.
  • Support patients during the prescription pickup process.
  • Utilize Kroll Pharmacy software for entering, scanning, and managing prescriptions.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping in pharmacy files and digital systems.
  • Confirm that customers receive the correct medications.
  • Facilitate workflow through effective prioritization and collaboration.
  • Handle phone inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Screen calls for the Pharmacist(s).
  • Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and maintaining medication stock.
  • Prepare and process billing, claims, and related documentation.
  • Review invoices and other relevant paperwork.
  • Pack and ship prescription orders following established protocols.
  • Maintain comprehensive pharmacy records.
  • Report adverse events in compliance with regulatory standards and internal obligations.
  • Assist with general housekeeping and administrative tasks.
  • Be available for standby/on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Kroll software is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry.
  • Solid analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.
  • Attention to detail and effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Experience in cold-chain distribution is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with biological and/or cytotoxic medications and sterile preparation is a plus.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills to address issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of job responsibilities.
