Your Role

We are seeking a Business Governance and Technology Advisor, reporting to the Director, Governance and Technology, who will be responsible for supporting project governance for Technology, Data, and Operations (TDO), including maintaining project management systems and project control frameworks, tracking financial project controls, budget management, financial reporting, and benefit measurement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide guidance to TDO stakeholders on project governance, SDLC, financial controls (actual, budgets, and forecasts)
  2. Lead and guide the Project Control Office (PCO) team to ensure they meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadlines, follow best practices for project tracking, and respect project surveillance and production control reports related to finances and project status
  3. Ensure the PCO team supports managers with their reporting and information needs
  4. Perform various financial analysis tasks (project forecasts, capacity management, budget consumption, and provide financial reports and other metrics to TDO senior management)
  5. Support teams in measuring technological benefits and ensure they are regularly measured and communicated to the Planning and Financial Analysis (FP&A) team
  6. Manage and maintain project management system modules and processes by performing monthly closures, data quality validations, updates, and spot tests (modules include staffing, time sheets, project tracking, and finances)
  7. Review and participate in monthly profitability analyses of initiatives, change requests, or procurement. Participate in their approval and ensure they respect project governance and financial controls
  8. Ensure key cost factors from one year to another are clear and well-documented. Support the Chief Director in cascading financial information to each TDO team
  9. Participate in post-mortem initiatives
  10. Participate and propose continuous improvement activities to increase efficiency and cost savings
  11. Other administrative and analytical tasks as needed
What You'll Need
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Financial Management, or equivalent program
  2. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project management technology and/or financial control, tracking, and reporting
  3. Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
  4. High attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis, reporting, and documentation
  5. Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency and accustomed to meeting multiple deadlines per month
  6. Ability to link and manage relationships between multiple work sectors, as well as anticipate relevant impacts and results
  7. Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with stakeholders
  8. Bilingualism in English and French
