We are currently in search of a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to enhance our Vancouver office. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in HVAC and other mechanical engineering aspects relevant to buildings. Expertise in building decarbonization, deep retrofit initiatives, and high energy efficiency projects is essential, along with strong client relationship management skills. The successful candidate will be motivated to devise innovative solutions to engineering challenges and guide clients through the design process for various building types, including institutional, commercial, and municipal infrastructure.

This role allows for a hybrid work arrangement from the Vancouver office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage directly with clients to foster and maintain business relationships, including business development efforts.
  • Oversee or contribute to the design of buildings, encompassing commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
  • Collaborate with the project team from conceptual and preliminary design stages through to project completion.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance and control protocols.
Qualifications
  • A recognized degree in mechanical engineering and a P. Eng. designation.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering for buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, and building services.
  • Strong self-motivation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Familiarity with Canadian codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of commercial building automation systems and DDC control systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, and commercial HVAC load calculation software.
  • A valid driver's license.

The anticipated salary for this position ranges from $105,440 to $131,800, reflecting the candidate's experience, training, skills, and internal equity.
