Job Title: Building Automation Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at GPAC. As a Building Automation Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining computer-based control systems that control and monitor a building's mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain computer-based control systems that control and monitor a building's mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Apply knowledge of various building trades, such as electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, and information systems networks, to computer-based control systems and building automation and environmental control energy equipment in commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Interface with customers, architects, engineers, and contractors to install and service building automation systems, including project start-up and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot, fix, and update HVAC systems and associated controls.
  • Download, update, and verify software accuracy.
  • Calibrate and test HVAC systems and controls.
  • Be well-versed in environmental energy equipment such as heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems, heat pumps, boilers, air handlers, variable air volume and mixing boxes, chillers, and related equipment.
  • Have a strong understanding of lighting control, security and access control, irrigation, and fire alarm interfaces, and water leak detection.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of Building Automation Systems & HVAC Control Engineering Experience.
  • High School Diploma or greater.
  • Honeywell, and Johnson's HVAC Systems Experience Preferred.
  • Strong skillset of commercial HVAC products, installation, and mechanical understanding.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC functions, ductwork modifications, and design.
  • Great communication skills with both clients, coworkers, and project managers.
  • Strong leadership skills and work ethic.
  • Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work.
  • Must have a stable background/work history to be considered for this position.
