Medical Device Reprocessing Team Lead

St. Boniface Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor, Medical Device Reprocessing to lead our team in ensuring the highest standards of medical device reprocessing.
Reporting to the Program Team Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining robust processes for medical device reprocessing. Your responsibilities will encompass managing physical, financial, and human resources to guarantee the integrity of these critical functions within our supply chain.
This position requires strong collaboration with the WRHA Regional Medical Device Reprocessing Program and active participation in hospital-wide and regional committees, professional associations, and other relevant initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of medical device reprocessing operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of medical device reprocessing technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and procedures to optimize reprocessing processes and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure seamless integration of reprocessing activities into the overall healthcare delivery system.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to medical device reprocessing, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards.
- Minimum three years of experience in a Medical Device Reprocessing Department.
- Proven management/supervisory experience is essential.
- Completion of Grade 12 education is required.
- Bachelor of Science degree or post-secondary education in a healthcare-related field is required.
- Successful completion of the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Certificate Program within fifteen months from acceptance of position.
- Demonstrated leadership and teaching skills are crucial.
- Supplementary courses in leadership, communication, quality assurance are preferred.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities are necessary.
