About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Professional to join our team as a Cabin Definition Integration Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for defining technical requirements and participating in strategic planning to ensure the successful integration of cabin design and engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Cabinet Engineering focal point, collaborating with Bombardier multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Prepare and review various engineering documents to support start-of-design activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Define technical requirements and participate in strategic planning to drive innovation and efficiency in cabin design and engineering.
  • Support suppliers in understanding and following Bombardier's Business Area (BA) processes and best practices.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for product and process improvement, focusing on cycle time reduction, ease of production, and weight reduction.
  • Review specifications for accuracy across documentations and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor project potential technical issues, including critical designs and risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support Program Change Requests (PCR) and coordinate technical integration meetings to meet program needs.
  • Participate in aircraft go-and-see activities to assess build or installation issues and provide technical expertise.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and upper management to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Validate certification documents to ensure design compliance with regulations.
  • Act as a technical leader, transferring knowledge through coaching and mentoring within the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • More than 10 years of relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions, with cabin experience being an asset.
  • Strong experience with Catia/Enovia and Teamcenter/NX (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex engineering issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent track record of meeting commitments and delivering results.
