Position Overview

The Chief Executive Officer will oversee the strategic direction and operational management of Ottawa Home Contractors Ltd., a leader in the residential construction sector. This permanent role requires a strong commitment to excellence and innovation in home building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Management: Allocate material, human, and financial resources effectively to implement organizational policies and programs.
  • Departmental Leadership: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and appoint senior staff positions.
  • Coordination: Co-ordinate the work across regions, divisions, or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Financial Oversight: Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and oversee human resources planning.
  • Strategic Planning: Set objectives for the organization and develop or approve policies and programs to achieve these goals.
  • Representation: Represent the organization in negotiations or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization.
  • Staff Selection: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff; delegate necessary authority and create optimal working conditions.
  • Accounting Management: Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems to ensure financial integrity.
  • Financial Management: Manage finances or budget effectively to align with organizational goals.
  • Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure quality and timely procurement.
