About the Role:
Gillfor Distribution Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commodity Trader to join our team in Longueuil, Quebec. As a key member of our Commodity Team, you will be responsible for selling and distributing wood-based commodities, industrial/specialty panels, and other building material products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize local market information to make informed sales and purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with the Commodity Team to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a commodity trading or sales-related role.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
