Position Overview

We are seeking a Principal Backend Software Engineer who is recognized as a trusted advisor and capable contributor by peers, leaders, and stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of design principles and their impact on software quality
  • Experience in systematic and disciplined software development practices
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages with the ability to mentor others
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a solid grasp of data structures and algorithms
  • Knowledge of computer networks, protocols, and security measures
  • Commitment to software privacy and security best practices
  • Experience with parallel and distributed computing
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies and methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
  • Ethical approach to technology and design
  • Creativity and innovation in problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar databases
  • Leadership experience in guiding development teams
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Experience in education, finance, or healthcare sectors is advantageous
  • Active GitHub profile or contributions to open-source projects is a plus
