Overview:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and youth? Strive Living Society is on the lookout for compassionate and motivated individuals to fill the role of Youth and Child Community Support Specialist in casual/on-call/part-time capacities within the community.
Role Responsibilities:
This position involves providing individualized support in a community environment for children and youth diagnosed with developmental challenges, including ADHD, FASD, Autism, OCD, and other behavioral issues.
The successful candidate will dedicate their time to helping young individuals achieve their personal goals, enhancing their life skills, and promoting social integration.
Flexible Opportunities:
Work hours are flexible and depend on the candidate's availability and willingness to accept shifts.

Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health concerns, and challenging behaviors
- Proficiency in English with the ability to communicate effectively and complete necessary documentation
- Capability to understand and implement healthcare plans and personal protocols
- Adherence to health and safety policies
- Competence in safely accompanying individuals to community appointments and activities
- Familiarity with community resources and life skills education
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and a clean driving record
- Access to a personal vehicle for work purposes and appropriate insurance coverage
- Completion of Positive Behaviour Management Training
- Criminal Record Clearance from the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Children and Family Development
- Food Safe Certificate
