About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Child and Youth Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the BC Public Service Agency. As a Licensed Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing direct clinical services to children, youth, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intake, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention services to children, youth, and families.
  • Collaborate with team members, community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs to provide individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop treatment plans to support children and youth with mental health challenges.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a welcoming and respectful environment for individuals and families.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Clinical/Applied Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or PsyD.
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia as a Psychologist.
  • Completion of a psychological pre or post-doctoral internship in a child and youth mental health or hospital setting.
  • Minimum of 1 year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working with children and youth and their families.
  • Experience in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology.
  • Self-identification as having an Indigenous heritage (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit).
