The Finance Officer plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications- Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
This role is primarily focused on on-site customer service, requiring the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate and prepare payroll cheques
- Assess fixed assets and manage depreciation
- Maintain and balance various accounts through manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries and prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Complete tax returns and prepare trial balances
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy
- Proficient in accounting software and database management
- Experience with QuickBooks, TaxPrep, MS Office, and Sage Accounting Software
Familiarity with office equipment such as scanners is essential.
