About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Lake House Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week. The work language is English.
