Position Overview:

VanWest College is seeking a dedicated full-time Korean Student Support Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling services to all Korean students.
  • Assist new Korean students with their arrival and departure during weekends.
  • Oversee the official Kakao Talk communication channel.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for students enrolled in our ESL and VCP programs.
  • Understand the College's admission procedures, including new applications, modifications, extensions, and cancellations, along with the institution's policies.
  • Communicate with agents regarding any arising situations.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments as necessary.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts by regularly posting on social media and monitoring potential extension students.
  • Update documentation, including the Korean students' process chart.
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed about Canadian Visa and Immigration Regulations.
  • Support management in various tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Korean with a professional level of customer service.
  • Strong writing skills in Korean.
  • Business proficiency in English.
  • At least one year of experience in the study abroad sector.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an administrative and admissions capacity.
