About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Sales Manager to join our team at Neighbors Convenience Market. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our sales team and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, hire, and supervise a team of sales staff to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and training.
  • Market Research and Analysis
    • Study market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
    • Analyze sales data to inform business decisions and optimize sales strategies.
  • Merchandise and Inventory Management
    • Determine the types and quantities of merchandise to be sold, taking into account customer demand and market trends.
    • Implement effective inventory management systems to minimize waste and maximize sales.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
    • Monitor sales and expenses to identify areas for cost savings and improvement.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and are satisfied with their shopping experience.
    • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail sales or management role.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English.
