Job Summary

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Financial Analysis and Decision Support
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Provide financial performance metrics and trends, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact of proposed projects or initiatives.
Systems and Process Improvement
  • Review and improve accounting systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead efforts to implement new tools or processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Continuously evaluate internal controls to reduce risks and improve financial accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven competency with accounting software, preferably SAGE.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accepted accounting rules, laws, and reporting requirements, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  • Proven skills in critical thinking, analysis, and reasoning, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
