Accounting Manager

Warkentin Investments Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Accountant-Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and financial reports
- Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal control
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
- Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures
- Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
- Analyze financial documents and reports
- Examine accounting records
- Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Oversee payroll administration
- 5 years or more of experience in accounting and finance
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and internal control
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment
- Fluency in English
