Senior Director Operations

The Senior Director of Operations will lead the vision, direction, and leadership of the Division, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and values. This role will be responsible for promoting the organization's vision and values, ensuring management and employees understand and share them, and developing and executing the annual business plan and divisional goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and direction in the management and delivery of programs and services, ensuring required programs and policies, and standards and performance expectations are established, and service levels are maintained.
- Support quality management and continuous improvement programs as established, evaluating the effectiveness and cost-benefit of services and programs.
- Participate in the planning of the financial, physical, and human assets of the Division, including the annual operating and capital budgets.
- Ensure effective organization, resourcing, and management of human resources within the reporting line.
- Build and maintain active interaction and dialogue with other WSIB leaders and employees to assess and discuss business and organizational issues, their implications, and potential solutions.
- Act as a senior expert providing functional leadership and technical expertise to Vice Presidents and Directors on matters relating to the professional area of expertise and divisional initiatives and activities.
- Undergraduate university degree and significant experience in developing and delivering programs.
- 10+ years of progressively more responsible leadership and management positions in a large complex organization dealing with insurance and/or disability management and/or public sector management and services.
- 10+ years of progressively more responsible management positions in a large organization dealing with insurance and/or disability management and/or public sector management and public sector experience preferred and/or experience working in large organizations with exposure to varied stakeholders.
