Job Overview

The Director of Quality is responsible for overseeing the Quality Team, developing and implementing a standardized quality management system throughout Gateway Services Inc., and conducting regular inspections of the company's locations, processes, and procedures related to quality. This role involves analyzing data to identify problems and their corrective actions, communicating effectively with facility personnel to drive improvements, and preparing reports for senior management.

The Director of Quality is also responsible for Gateway's Supplier Quality Program, ensuring the review of services and products, compliance with the program, and continuous improvement in supplier quality practices.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies and processes to manage quality.
  • Develop, review, and update all quality-related documents, including operational training documents.
  • Drive best-in-class quality management processes.
  • Investigate quality management failures or non-compliance in-depth.
  • Develop proper quality planning and quality control processes.
  • Ensure critical inspections are performed with permanent corrective actions at the operational level.
  • Ensure products are designed with quality standards in mind and test their effectiveness and quality regularly.
  • Supervise and monitor quality project standards.
  • Ensure corrective action plans are in place and followed up upon during work inspections.
  • Perform time-to-time statistical analysis and improvement/savings analysis.
  • Define achievable and sustainable Quality metrics that align with organization goals.
  • Obtain client feedback, attend meetings, submit reports, and assist auditors.
  • Participate in the budget planning process.
  • Influence senior leadership to move a Quality culture forward.

The Director of Quality will hold meetings with field operations to gather detailed information about company procedures and practices with the intent to drive improvements.

Attend meetings with senior management to report on and discuss quality control issues.

Train Team Members to meet quality standards in all areas of the production process.

Develop creative strategies for achieving high quality on complex and challenging assignments.

Manage and communicate expectations based on historical performance metrics, quantitative and qualitative quality metrics, analysis, and risks to stakeholders.

The Director of Quality will manage the Quality Supplier Program in collaboration with Central Services and make support, compliance, and process change recommendations.

Other Responsibilities

As needed, support the Operations Excellence Team Initiatives, including content development, support, rollout, and training related to Operational Excellence goals and objectives.

Education, Training & Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in business administration or a relevant field is required.

Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in quality control, production, or service management in a manufacturing and distribution environment.

Experience developing a Quality Management System and implementing ISO9001 and ISO45001 and continued compliance.

A valid Driver's License is required.
