Job Title: Planning Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Manager to join our team at Reitmans (Canada) Limited. As a key member of our planning and allocation team, you will be responsible for developing and executing planning and inventory flow strategies to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the product development team to set financial and strategic objectives and conduct ongoing review of retail sales, markdowns, and inventory levels.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team of planners and planning analysts to deliver within the timeframes and strategic direction.
  • Define department strategies and make recommendations for future seasons.
  • Maintain weekly sales inventory forecast with the product development team and revise budgets accordingly to ensure stock levels.
  • Oversee unit forecast to meet sales, inventory, financial, and profit objectives.
  • Develop and oversee execution of markdowns and promotional strategies.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in budgeting/inventory in a retail environment.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members.
