Job Summary

This is a key role within the College of New Caledonia, responsible for providing administrative support to the admissions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating administrative office functions, as well as community education and related financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain efficient and effective information and communication systems, including admissions, registrations, enrolments, course completion tracking, and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support to the admissions team, including processing applications, making admission decisions, and referring students to academic advising.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of the course calendar, including course and student data entry, and report generation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication with students, staff, and external stakeholders, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with the senior accounting clerk to process accounts receivable and payable, and assist with financial tasks, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Support the development and implementation of community education programs, including course management, tracking, and recording.
  • Provide front-end coverage, including responding to telephone and over-the-counter inquiries, and assisting with marketing and promotion of programs and courses.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of two years post-secondary business and office administration experience.
  • Sound judgement and exceptional problem-solving skills, including ability to resolve unusual conditions.
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks, responsibilities, and inquiries in a short time span.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to articulate College policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and motivate others while maintaining quality services.
  • Capacity to meet demanding work schedules and deadlines in a constantly changing environment.
