Job Description

About the Role:

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Java Tech Lead to join our team. As a Java Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers and working towards the build of GCP pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of five developers and oversee the development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
  2. Design and develop applications using Java and related technologies, with a focus on delivering high-availability and performance.
  3. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation.
  4. Lead various activities in the SDLC, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, and adopt new technologies as needed to meet the requirements of the job.
  6. Work with architecture, other upstream and downstream integration teams, other developers, BAs, and QAs to deliver high-quality solutions.
  7. Primarily focus on back-end integration work, with some UI work on the front end, using Java as the primary technology stack.
  8. Understand key technology aspects, including solution architecture and system integration.

Requirements:

  1. 10+ years' experience in hands-on Java development.
  2. 2-5+ years' experience in DevOps, with a focus on building pipelines.
  3. 2+ years' experience using Google Cloud Platform.
  4. 4+ years' experience in Spring integration.
  5. Strong skills in relational database management, with experience in using SQL to construct complex queries.
  6. Familiarity with Microservices architecture, including the use of RESTful APIs to develop enterprise solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in the financial industry, with a focus on corporate actions.
  2. Experience with Agile methodology.

Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
