Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in London, Ontario.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry equipment in a shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose equipment issues, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high-quality customer service and meet customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and apply this knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve repair and maintenance processes.
Requirements:
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment considered an asset.
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to customer service and service excellence.
