About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Strategy Analyst to join our team at Backstage. As a key member of our Pricing Strategy team, you will be responsible for analyzing and executing pricing strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular retail pricing strategies for assigned merchandise categories, including listing of latest items and executing pricing changes.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze competitive retail prices to ensure Pricing and Category Management teams have the data required to make informed pricing decisions.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to improve financial results, processes, and overall business health.
  • Review and maintain all costing and retail documentation to ensure integrity.
  • Track pricing across assigned categories and recommend new retail prices to maintain margins or achieve index targets.
  • Analyze business intelligence or governance reports to identify opportunities to improve regular retail pricing.
  • Run price optimization scenarios and offer suggestions to category management to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Support stores by resolving pricing issues that impact stores, customers, and partners.
  • Investigate pricing or audit issues that negatively impact margins and implement solutions to correct them.
  • Collaborate on all pricing-related initiatives with Category managers.
  • Represent pricing in cross-functional projects to improve pricing processes and execution.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a DEC and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • SAP experience or analytical aptitude to mainframe systems is preferred.
  • Quantitative analysis in Excel (Pivot tables, sorting, filtering, lookups).
