Job Description

Job Title: Health Services Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Director to join our team at Regency Park Family Practice. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative programs and services that support individuals with mental health challenges to live independently in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster effective teamwork and collaboration among staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Contribute to the operational planning and management of service delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and applicable legislation.
  • Develop and implement program goals and objectives, working closely with the Department of Community Services (DCS) Disability Support Program staff.
  • Evaluate program delivery, effectiveness, and quality assurance, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Advocate for client rights and access to resources, ensuring dignity and quality of life for all individuals facing mental health challenges.
  • Identify and respond to client community needs, recruiting, training, and supervising staff as needed.
  • Manage associated budgets and communicate our company's initiatives to external stakeholders.
  • Mitigate risks for clients and staff through sound procedural policy.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a health or business discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant senior leadership experience, preferably in the mental health field or supported housing.
  • Proven experience in program delivery, financial accountability, and staff management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of various mental health challenges and their impact on individuals.
  • Capacity for building strong partnerships within the community and with pertinent stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in supporting individuals and families with client-centered services.
  • Ability to lead work teams with strategic development and organizational planning.
  • Understanding of and willingness to obtain necessary certifications, including First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, Fire Life & Safety, Medication Awareness, Health & Personal Care, Behaviour Support, Food Handlers, and Crisis Intervention training.
  • Able to provide criminal record clearance.
