The Finance Operations Manager is instrumental in delivering financial and operational assistance to Canadian Commercial Banking and Canadian Banking Finance. This role significantly contributes to the strategic direction and outcomes of the business line while ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop annual Profit Plans and forecasts, monitor P&L for budget adherence, and provide insightful analysis on trends affecting financial performance.
  • Reporting and Insights: Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, analyzing business line results and preparing comprehensive financial models and reporting packages.
  • Expense Oversight: Manage and report on all expenses, ensuring compliance with financial policies and guidelines, while exploring alternatives to enhance revenue and minimize costs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships within the business line and finance teams to support various initiatives and projects effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant role with expertise in managerial accounting and financial management.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, along with familiarity with financial systems such as OBI, Hyperion, and Smartstream.
  • Exceptional analytical and presentation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with excellent process management and organizational skills.
  • A solid understanding of the Bank's financial accounting processes and policies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a diverse range of tasks and changing demands.
  • A high level of curiosity, energy, and commitment to teamwork.
