We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and services to individuals, families, and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care within our community clinic.
- Perform a variety of nursing duties, administering safe and effective nursing care according to clinical policies and procedures.
- Provide crisis intervention, assessment, diagnostic, and treatment services to adults with chronic and persistent psychiatric disorders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mental health therapists, addictions counselors, and community treatment order staff.
- Develop and implement individual care plans and run groups to support patient well-being.
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Experience in Addictions and Mental Health an asset.
- Knowledge of the DSM Categories, Mental Health Act, and Assertive Outreach services an asset.
- Community and rural experience an asset.
- Experience in conducting individual care plans and running groups an asset.
