Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Queensway Carleton Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Respiratory Therapy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions, including respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic procedures to assess patients' respiratory function.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO).
  • Completion of a respiratory therapy program approved by the Canadian Society for Respiratory Therapy (CSRT).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
