Duties

: Set up patients for polysomnographic recordings (overnight sleep studies, nap & alertness tests) Monitor patients undergoing testing to ensure patient safety and maintain high quality recordings Conduct CPAP/Bi-Level titrations for patients with sleep-related breathing disorders Analyze recordings and prepare reports for sleep laboratory physicians Maintain required documentation on the electronic health record (EHR) Assist in administrative functions of the laboratory Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Anti-Racism, Harassment & Discrimination Free policy. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with one of the following: ./. in Life Sciences Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT) Registered Nurse (RN) Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills in a multi-tasking high-volume environment  Demonstrate ability to work independently and to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team in a highly organized manner  Knowledge of infection control standards Demonstrate ability to multi-task and to respond to rapidly changing situations CPR Certification Level B within the last 12 months WHMIS update within the last 12 months English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset. Salary Range: $36.84 to $50.24 per hour
