Position Overview

Under the guidance of the pharmacy management team and the supervision of licensed pharmacy professionals, the pharmacy support staff member plays a crucial role in assisting pharmacy team members to achieve optimal pharmacy outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate PACMed/Rowa Dose dispensing and PACVision/Zius verification systems - Training will be provided.
  • Implement medication strip amendments as per physician directives.
  • Reallocate medications as necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain pharmacy inventory as required.
  • Pre-package medications utilizing pharmacy machinery when needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous support tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with all pharmacy team members to ensure accurate, safe, timely, and complete dispensing of medication orders.
  • Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
  • Consult with pharmacy management and registered pharmacy team members regarding unresolved issues in daily operations.
  • Adhere to all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures consistently.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Provide training and mentorship to pharmacy team members when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a pharmacy setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift up to 4.5 kg (10 lbs) regularly.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods as required.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong partnerships with team members.
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • Skilled in critical thinking and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity.
