Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at IQ PARTNERS Inc. as a Pharmacy Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day management of workload, working independently on labeling and filling/refilling prescriptions, and performing an independent double check for repeat prescription release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day management of workload
  • Work independently on labeling and filling/refilling prescriptions
  • Perform an independent double check for repeat prescription release
  • Verify that customer receives correct prescription
  • Identify potential therapeutic issues and seek the Pharmacist's therapeutic check
  • Work collaboratively with Patient Programs in fulfilling pharmacy responsibilities
  • Prepare/review and process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents
  • Enter prescriptions into the computer; retrieve and/or correct data in computer
  • Order, maintain and prepare inventory of medications
  • Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and, where applicable, internal and contractual obligations
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or successful completion of Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Bridging Program and a Certificate of Registration with OCP
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience
  • Strong proficiency in Kroll required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements

  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and drug distribution practices
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service
