Job Overview:
The FirstService Residential Property Manager is responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of properties, including both residential rentals and commercial spaces, on behalf of investor clients.
Success in this role involves establishing long-term relationships with clients while maximizing their investment returns and maintaining positive interactions with tenants and other stakeholders associated with our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring exceptional property management services across the board. Regularly engage with property owners (via in-person meetings, phone calls, and electronic communication) to provide updates and educate them about their properties, while also addressing tenant concerns. Draft and execute property management agreements with clients. Negotiate and approve rental and lease agreements, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations. Develop annual property budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor budget performance. Coordinate significant renovation projects. Collaborate with site staff to prioritize maintenance, repairs, and cleaning tasks. Ensure all work performed on properties meets safety standards for tenants, site staff, and contractors. Address occasional after-hours emergencies and assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs as necessary.Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum of three years of experience as a leasing agent or property manager, managing various property types and sizes, particularly with multi-unit rental buildings. Proficient in property accounting systems (e.g., Yardi), building management software, and owner/tenant portals, with a willingness to adopt new technologies and tools. Comprehensive knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act of British Columbia and the Strata Property Act. Exceptional customer service skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Solid understanding of building systems and operational procedures. Highly organized, efficient, and adept at time management.A current Representative License for Rental Property Management Services issued by the BC Financial Services Authority, a valid BC driver's license, and access to a vehicle with business insurance are essential for this role.

$70,000 - $75,000 per annum
