This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and contributing to a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to the HR department, including general HR administration, employee relations, and workplace investigations.
  • Ensure all HR processes are aligned with local employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance standards are met for each jurisdiction.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee relations concerns and inquiries, conducting thorough investigations and collaborating with employees across all levels.
  • Support recruitment efforts, including preparing job outlines, reviewing resumes, conducting preliminary interviews, and coordinating interviews.
  • Manage HR software updates, changes, and employee records, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Welcome new employees to the organization, conducting orientation, and related paperwork and HRIS administration.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in HR or a related field, with a professional HR designation (CHRP) being an asset.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as an HR Generalist or similar role, with well-versed knowledge of respective Employment legislation and other relevant regulations.
  • Experience with HR systems & programs, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and HRIS (Payworks).
  • Ability to be flexible, handle sensitive information with integrity, and work through problems with limited information.
  • Self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail and ability to make professional company resources.
