Position Overview: Reporting to the Manager of Business Operations Delivery, the Lead Project Controls Consultant is responsible for ensuring thorough and timely processing as well as providing support for CDCC Clearing Members in various areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Policies: Oversee internal policies, procedures, audits, attestations, and incident management.
  • Project Oversight: Engage in projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Maintain and update all Business Operations documentation related to operational due diligence, including the Manual of Procedures, testing scripts, training materials, and workflow charts.
  • Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for issues related to Collateral, Clearing, Banking, and Settlements concerning Derivatives, OTC Fixed Income products, and Corporate Actions.
  • Reconciliation Duties: Conduct daily collateral and concentration reconciliations with all CDCC Settlement banks and depositories, along with monthly reconciliations and analyses for managerial review.
  • Process Development: Create processes for new products and projects, including client onboarding, testing, training, and updating procedures.
  • Project Support: Assist the Manager as a delivery lead for various projects and initiatives, representing Business Operations effectively.
  • Business Continuity Planning: Maintain and update documentation for the Business Continuity Plan, Disaster Recovery Program, and related test scripts.
  • Collaboration: Interact with internal and external auditors, regulators, technology teams, client services, and risk management.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to internal procedures, rules, audit requirements, and internal control verification processes.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and assist with special assignments, including system configuration as necessary.
  • Managerial Support: Provide support and act as a delegate for the Manager of Business Operations Delivery as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in Operations processes or Securities Accounting within the Securities Financial Industry.
  • Advanced technical and analytical skills with the ability to propose operational solutions and address moderately complex problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
  • High level of technical and analytical knowledge regarding Collateral, Banking, and Clearing/Settlements processes.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and other desktop applications.
