Your Responsibilities: In the role of Lead Environmental Project Consultant , you will spearhead regulatory and permitting initiatives, guiding a multidisciplinary team to produce proposals, Environmental Assessments (EAs), Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), permit submissions, and related management strategies. This position allows you to leverage your established connections with corporations, alongside your robust project management expertise, to effectively oversee environmental evaluations and permitting for significant capital ventures. You will act as a representative of our organization and play a crucial role in expanding our business and securing new projects. Your comprehensive understanding of our operations and your ability to cultivate strong client relationships founded on trust and mutual benefit will be essential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of consulting experience, particularly in impact assessment and permitting within the mining industry in British Columbia.
  • Proven history of effectively managing intricate projects within the mining sector or comparable fields.
  • Strong team-building and influencing capabilities, combined with integrity, confidence, and the ability to address client and business needs effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with provincial and federal regulatory bodies, Indigenous groups, and the public, with a grasp of key factors influencing the BC mining industry. Experience managing environmental regulatory projects in Alberta, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Ontario is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated business development skills, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities and crafting successful proposals.
  • High level of project management proficiency, with knowledge of project controls and impact assessment best practices.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, and project management methodologies.
  • Thrive in high-pressure situations, adept at managing diverse stakeholders, and enjoy working within a dynamic team of colleagues across the country and internationally.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Leadership qualities, capable of mentoring and guiding collaborative teams, embodying ERM values, and acting as a safety advocate.

  • PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation: For the Lead Environmental Project Consultant position, the anticipated annual base salary ranges from $72,164 to $103,792 CAD. An individual's compensation within this range will be determined by various factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business needs. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus.
