Medical Technologist and Microbiology Specialist

As a Medical Technologist and Microbiology Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Director and collaborating with the Assistant Head of Biochemistry-Hematology in the management of medical biology services.
- Issuing recommendations to ensure the maintenance and improvement of services.
- Supervising and participating in the drafting, development, revision, and updating of procedures, processes, and other documents.
- Ensuring the transmission of information and monitoring non-conformities.
- Participating in the choice of technologies used and the implementation of new technologies.
- Contributing to the assessment of quality, organization, evaluation of staff, development, maintenance of skills, and orientation of staff.
- Participating in the selection of new hires.
- Performing other technical tasks as required.
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Hold a college diploma (DEC) in biomedical analysis technology from a recognized school.
- Have 5 years of experience in microbiology.
- Have recognized management skills.
- Be available 24/7 for emergencies according to a pre-established schedule.
- Be a member of O.P.T.M.Q.
- Have additional experience (an asset), such as replacement of assistant head or technical coordinator, clinical instructor, special mandate, or other.
- Have recent experience as a super user or pilot of computerized laboratory systems (an asset).
- Have experience working with computerized laboratory systems, such as Technidata (an asset).
