Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated In-Home Childcare Provider to support the nurturing and development of children in a private household. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
Work Environment
  • Setting: This position is based in the employer's home.
  • Environment: Non-smoking household.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assume complete responsibility for household tasks in the absence of parents.
  • Perform light cleaning and housekeeping duties.
  • Shop for groceries and household necessities.
  • Accompany the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and household tasks.
  • Provide care for infants and children, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Implement discipline strategies as directed by parents.
  • Guide children in personal hygiene and social skills development.
  • Maintain records of daily activities and health information for the children.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy home environment.
  • Organize engaging activities such as games and outings.
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals.
  • Assist children in transitioning to rest periods.
  • Supervise and care for children throughout the day.
  • Transport children to and from school and appointments.
  • Support the emotional well-being of children.
  • Assist with homework and educational activities.
  • Prepare meals and provide personal care as needed.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Launder clothing and household linens.
  • Feed or assist in feeding children.
  • Demonstrate infant care techniques to new parents.
  • Administer medications as required.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
Certifications
  • CPR Certification.
  • First Aid Certification.
Safety and Security
  • Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory.
